Training

Whether you're starting out or looking to retrain, we offer a range of trade training opportunities designed to support women at every stage of their journey.

3:2 Initiative

The 3:2 Paid Placement Program is in partnership with local colleges, and is aimed at women enrolled on construction trade courses who were not currently working in the construction industry. This program:

  • Provides paid employment with a construction contractor in the trade the women are training in
  • Enables the students to work part-time on the weekdays that they are not attending college (3 days at college, 2 days at work)
  • Ensures the students are paid minimum wage for their age or above
  • Enables the students to work alongside a tradesperson in the discipline of their chosen trade
  • Guarantees the students are considered for a further contract as an apprentice on completion of their Diploma or into full time employment.

The 3:2 program will have widespread benefits, providing career opportunities and financial support to women, fostering diversity within the construction industry, and creating stronger partnerships between colleges, employers, and social value teams.
