Work and traineeships event in Manchester
The Women and Manual Trades programme is running an event just for female construction students, and women interested in working in construction and the building trades, to give them an opportunity to meet local employers find out about work and placements available.

We’re all too aware that female students face greater barriers than their male counterparts in securing work during their studies, and afterwards, so this is a crucial part of our ongoing commitment to get more women working in construction and the building trades.
A number of Procure Plus’ framework contractors from Greater Manchester will be in attendance, along with other building companies who are keen to give opportunities to women, and CITB. Those attending will also be able to hear from women who have made it in the sector, and find out how they can be supported through Women and Manual Trades.
